Abstract
The project Remodeling the Pier Bar for the Cultural Center YAHUARCOCHA proposes to rescue, conserve and promote the cultural and historical development in the parish of San Miguel de Yahuarcocha, based on an urban analysis, which links the project located in the Northern sector of the Laguna de Yahuarcocha; making this an inclusive area with the sector. The architectural proposal is based on integrating various cultural activities and study areas, using as guidelines the shape of the land and the displacement of the volume, to take advantage of the natural environment of the place, creating open covered spaces for exhibitions. The project is directed so that it can take advantage of natural light, as well as the design of green areas and a green wall in the lateral entrance of the project, which makes it a sustainable and environmentally friendly project. A study is proposed in its line of urban construction that goes according to the design of a historical cultural center that expresses and makes known the historical events lived thousands of years ago in these lands, such center will be a modern building that contributes to the nature with the implementation of appropriate technologies for its proper functioning. It is surrounded by natural elements such as the presence of the Laguna de Yahuarcocha and a majestic mountain range, these natural riches are used by the cultural center, preventing it from leaving its surroundings, for this reason the parking areas were isolated in such a way that the building in itself this directly related to nature. Within the establishment there are the areas of galleries where diversity of elements will be placed to exhibit as a pre-entry to the exhibition area which is formed and distributed in the manner of a series circuit that consists of three exhibition halls closed from the natural environment by safety and protection of the exhibits inside. The dining and cafeteria area is located outside with spaces facing the lagoon. The administration area has its own income but internally maintains its restricted relationship to the exposure zone. This cultural center has an apparently floating element that is the auditorium or multipurpose room which has access from the ground floor entering through the Cultural Corridor or through the viewpoint
