Nuevas rutinas, en las coberturas periodísticas: el caso de los diarios digitales de la provincia de Imbabura

Abstract
La transformación digital ha cambiado la manera en que se produce y consume información, llevando a que los periodistas de los medios digitales de Imbabura realicen nuevas rutinas a la hora cubrir una noticia. Partiendo de la revisión bibliográfica, se reconoce que existe una evolución periodística en los últimos años que han influenciado la vivencia en los diarios. Para llevar a cabo esta investigación, se analizó la forma en que su cubre un acontecimiento desde tres fases: antes, durante y después de la rutina periodística. Dentro de este análisis utilizamos una investigación básica, seguido de un enfoque mixto. Los profesionales que pertenecen al “Colegio de Periodistas de Imbabura” fueron nuestra principal población. Con ellos se realizó una recolección de datos mediante una encuesta con el fin de descubrir cuales son los principales cambios. Además, se recopilo información mediante entrevistas de aquellos comunicadores de diferentes áreas para conseguir diferentes perspectivas sobre el proceso de una cobertura. Los resultados de la investigación nos llevan principalmente a los desafíos que los periodistas se encuentran enfrentando actualmente con la inmediatez de la información en las plataformas digitales, así como las nuevas estructuras de trabajo que hacen que el perfil del periodista tenga un reajuste. De la misma manera, en Imbabura se muestra un trabajo periodístico que con altibajos debido a la presencia de profesionales que no son propios del periodismo.
The digital transformation has changed the way in which information is produced and consumed, leading journalists of digital media in Imbabura to perform new routines when covering a news story. Based on the literature review, it is recognized that there is a journalistic evolution in recent years that have influenced the experience in newspapers. In order to carry out this research, the way in which an event is covered was analyzed from three phases: before, during and after the journalistic routine. Within this analysis we used basic research, followed by a mixed approach. The professionals who belong to the Colegio de Periodistas de Imbabura were our main population. With them, data was collected through a survey in order to discover what are the main changes. In addition, information was collected through interviews of those communicators from different areas to get different perspectives on the process of coverage. The results of the research lead us mainly to the challenges that journalists are currently facing with the immediacy of information on digital platforms, as well as the new work structures that make the profile of the journalist have a readjustment. In the same way, in Imbabura there is a journalistic work with ups and downs due to the presence of professionals who are not journalism professionals.
