Abstract
El presente trabajo de titulación se desarrolla en el umbral de acceso a las cascadas de Cariacu en la ciudad de Cayambe y su franja de protección, así mismo tomando en consideración al aspecto natural que prima en el sector. La temática abordada para el análisis y diagnóstico de las problemáticas de la zona de estudio son los conceptos relacionados a sustentabilidad y el ecoturismo. Uno de los enfoques primordiales también presente es el turismo regenerativo, el cual hace referencia a un ganar ambiental, económico y social. El desarrollo de la propuesta de intervención se realiza a escala micro, tomando como elemento de intervención al alojamiento en el sector que es la bienvenida y el potencial al atractivo turístico, proponiendo un enfoque sustentable y referenciando al ecoturismo, al turismo regenerativo y al turismo de baja densidad como pilares fundamentales en la propuesta arquitectónica.
The present graduation project unfolds at the entrance threshold to the Cariacu waterfalls in the city of Cayambe and its protection zone, also considering the prevailing natural aspect in the area. The theme addressed for the analysis and diagnosis of the issues in the study area revolves around sustainability and ecotourism concepts. One of the primary focal points also present is regenerative tourism, which refers to achieving environmental, economic, and social gains. The development of the intervention proposal takes place on a micro scale, with accommodation in the area being the gateway and potential for the tourist attraction. It proposes a sustainable approach, referencing ecotourism, regenerative tourism, and low density tourism as fundamental pillars in the architectural proposal.
