Abstract
El presente trabajo de titulación se desarrolla en el umbral de acceso al centro histórico de la ciudad de Ibarra y su franja de protección, así mismo tomando en consideración al hito cultural y referencial El Obelisco y su entorno inmediato. La temática abordada para el análisis y diagnóstico de las problemáticas de la zona de estudio son los conceptos relacionados a Imagen Urbana y Espacio Público. Uno de los enfoques primordiales también presente es la conservación del Patrimonio, el cual hace referencia a la preservación del patrimonio tanto tangible o intangible. El desarrollo de la propuesta de intervención se realiza en tres escalas, Escala Macro en la cual se interviene en la interconexión de los Hitos referenciales que se encuentran en la franja de protección del centro histórico a través de sendas viales de importancia en las cuales se ha realizado una propuesta de intervención dentro de los parámetros de espacio público e imagen urbana. Escala Meso donde se interviene en el entorno inmediato del sector del Obelisco, dando importancia al umbral de ingreso al centro histórico proponiendo un cambio en la imagen urbana, en la cual actualmente posee un déficit en los atributos de la misma, así mismo dando una solución a la problemática en cuanto a espacio público. Escala Micro se toma como elemento de intervención a un Bien Inmueble Patrimonial que se relaciona directamente al umbral de ingreso al centro histórico, proponiendo su revitalización y re funcionaliza ción además de adaptar nuevos usos partiendo de la adición de un elemento arquitectónico nuevo, para que mediante la propuesta se establezca en el sector un nodo de transición cultural.
The present degree work is developed in the threshold of access to the historical center of the city of Ibarra and its protection strip, as well as taking into account the cultural and referential landmark The Obelisk and its immediate environment. The topics addressed for the analysis and diagnosis of the problems of the study area are the concepts related to Urban Image and Public Space. One of the main focuses is also present in the conservation of heritage, which refers to the preservation of both tangible and intangible heritage. The development of the intervention proposal is carried out on three scales, Macro Scale in which we intervene in the interconnection of the landmarks that are found in the strip of protection of the historic center through important roads in which a proposal of intervention has been made within the parameters of public space and urban image. Meso Scale where intervention is carried out in the immediate sur roundings of the Obelisk sector, giving importance to the threshold of entry to the historic center by proposing a change in the urban image, which currently has a deficit in its attributes, as well as providing a solution to the problem of public space. Micro Scale is taken as an element of intervention to a Heritage Property that is directly related to the threshold of entry to the historic center, proposing its revitalization and re-functionalization in addition to adapting new uses based on the addition of a new architectural element, so that through the proposal a node of cultural transition is established in the sector.
