Abstract
El proyecto de tesis plantea una propuesta de restructuración urbana en las calles del centro de Ibarra, mediante criterios de calidad del espacio público, parar la regeneración espacial en supermanzanas. Para el levantamiento de información se utilizará la metodología mixta cualitativa cuantitativa, se tomaron los siguientes parámetros para evaluar el estado de las calles,
(accesibilidad peatonal; rampas vehiculares; semaforización; flujos peatonales; flujos vehiculares; iluminación y área verde; ancho de vías aceras.)Los parámetros para cuantificar fueron analizados de 12 criterios de evaluación de calidad del espacio público, desarrollados por Jan Gehl. Los mismos que están estructurados en 3 grupos protección, comodidad y disfrute.
Entre las técnicas que se aplicaran para el desarrollo de este proyecto están: Recopilación de mapas y planos existentes, revisión y análisis de información técnica, teórica relevante para el
proyecto, levantamiento de información en sitio y registro fotográfico, mapeo y obtención de resultados.La investigación realizada, nos da a conocer el estado físico espacial, en el cual se evidencia una mala calidad del espacio público, generando una inadecuada movilidad, inseguridad, inaccesibilidad, segregación social, entre otros. Por lo que la propuesta pretende mejorar el modelo de movilidad actual transformando el espacio en las calles que hoy es prioridad del vehículo y recuperándolo hacia el peatón por medio de la implantación de supermanzanas, por tanto, se mejora la calidad espacio público urbano incrementando la habitabilidad y el confort, así mismo mejora la calidad de vida de todos los usuarios aumentando la cohesión social y actividad económica.

The parameters to quantify were analyzed from 12 criteria for evaluating the quality of public space, developed by Jan Gehl. They are structured in 3 groups: protection, comfort and enjoyment. Among the techniques that will be applied for the development of this project are: Compilation of existing maps and plans, review and analysis of technical and theoretical information relevant to the project, survey of On-site information and photographic registration, mapping and obtaining results. The research carried out reveals the physical spatial state, in which a poor quality of public space is evident, generating inadequate mobility, insecurity, inaccessibility, social segregation, among others. Therefore, the proposal aims to improve the current mobility model by transforming the space on the streets that today is the vehicle's priority and recovering it towards the pedestrian through the implementation of superblocks, therefore, improving the quality of urban public space, increasing habitability and comfort, likewise improves the quality of life of all users, increasing social cohesion and economic activity. social segregation, among others.
