Abstract
El trabajo de titulación se emplaza en la parroquia de González Suarez, del cantón Otavalo, el proyecto multi escala se centra en las riberas del río San Agustín, en el tramo en el que atraviesa el casco parroquial, una zona con un alto valor paisajístico, cultural y turístico.Con la finalidad de potenciar las cualidades del sector se busca afianzar la integración entre el área urbana y el área natural, a través de un equipamiento verde que satisfaga las necesidades tanto de espacio público, de cultura, de esparcimiento y que además promueva la cohesión social, generando un nuevo intersticio urbano desde el que se invite a recorrer el río. El proyecto inicia con una intervención territorial, donde se marcan pautas para generar una nueva columna vertebral de espacio verde público en las riberas del río San Agustín desde su origen hasta su desembocadura, un recorrido que perimirá vincular las dos cuencas hídricas más importantes del cantón Otavalo (Mojanda y San Pablo) a la vez que integrará poblados, espacio público, equipamientos y principalmente personas. En la escala urbana se trabaja en un plan masa y zonificación conceptual en base a las dinámicas urbanas del casco parroquial, haciendo énfasis en tres épocas de su historia (Precolombina, fundacional y moderna) esta línea temporal se la retratará a través del río ya que, así como el tiempo, el agua sigue su curso. En la escala sectorial se proponen dos equipamientos (Cultura y comercio) los cuales se integrarán al parque lineal del río generando ese intersticio de desarrollo y el nuevo hito urbano de González Suárez. Finalmente se intervendrá a nivel arquitectónico en tres casas que, aunque no son patrimoniales, guardan un legado y permanecen en el inconsciente colectivo, por lo que se convertirán en equipamientos de servicio para el adecuado funcionamiento del proyecto integral.
The degree work is located in the parish of González Suarez, in the Otavalo city, the multi-scale project focuses on the banks of the San Agustin River, in the section that crosses the parish center, an area with a high landscape value, cultural and tourist. In order to enhance the qualities of the sector, the aim is to consolidate the integration between the urban area and the natural area, through a green facility that meets the needs of both public space, culture, recreation and also promotes social cohesion, generating a new urban interstice from which it is invited to cross the river. The project begins with a territorial intervention, where guidelines are set to generate a new backbone of public green space on the banks of the San Agustin River from its origin to its mouth, a route that will allow linking the two most important watersheds of the Otavalo city (Mojanda and San Pablo) at the same time that it will integrate towns, public spaces, facilities and mainly people. On the urban scale, we work on a mass plan and conceptual zoning based on the urban dynamics of the parish center, emphasizing three periods of its history (Pre-Columbian, foundational and modern), this time line will be portrayed through the river since, just like time water runs its course. At the sectoral scale, two facilities are proposed (Culture and commerce) which will be integrated into the linear park of the river, generating that development gap and the new González Suárez urban landmark. Finally, there will be an architectural intervention in three houses that although they are not patrimonial, keep a legacy and remain in the collective unconscious, so they will become in a service equipment for the proper functioning of the comprehensive project.
