Abstract
El propósito de este estudio de investigación es abordar el tema cultural afrochoteño del cantón Ibarra, pretendiendo diseñar un centro de interpretación- turística sobre la comunidad de El Chota, en la ciudad de Ibarra, provincia de Imbabura. Este proyecto busca representar el patrimonio cultural de dicho sitio, al tratar de que los turistas conozcan los valores ancestrales que tiene esta cultura a través de medios interpretativos. Este proyecto se compromete con el turismo cultural para la zona de Ibarra y la comunidad de El Chota, impulsa a la conservación y la conciencia de visibilizar al pueblo afro en donde ha contribuido históricamente al Ecuador, generando el interés de los turistas para que aprecien el patrimonio cultural, aportando así a la economía local. Hasta la fecha no se conoce un levantamiento de información total del tema, por esta razón se hace un estudio de indagación de características de la zona de El Chota a partir de realizaciones de encuestas aplicadas a los turistas y visitantes del centro cultural El cuartel en el centro de la ciudad de Ibarra, entrevistas a las personas que por su formación y experiencias se dedican a realzar la cultura afroecuatoriana. Mediante la entrevista a los habitantes del pueblo afrochoteño se logrará uno de los objetivos específicos que es la identificación de los bienes materiales e inmateriales de la cultura afrochoteña. Al reunir la información sobre el patrimonio cultural, este será de gran utilidad para que los turistas conozcan y disfruten de la representación máxima de la cultura afrochoteña. La finalidad es, realizar un diseño sobe un centro de interpretación- turística, ya que este estudio mostrará la gran aceptación de la misma.
The purpose of this research study is to address the Afro -oteque cultural theme of the Ibarra canton, aiming to design a tourist interpretation center on the community of El Chota”, in the city of Ibarra, province of Imbabura. This project seeks to represent the cultural heritage of this site, trying to let tourists know the ancestral values that this culture has through interpretive means. This project is committed to cultural tourism for the Ibarra area and the community of El Chota, promotes the conservation and awareness of making visible the Afro people where they have historically contributed to Ecuador, generating the interest of tourists to appreciate cultural heritage, thus contributing to the local economy. To date, the gathering of total information on the subject is not known. For this reason, a study is carried out to investigate the characteristics of the area of El Chota based on surveys carried out on tourists and visitors to the cultural center El barracks” in the center of the city of Ibarra, interviews with people who, due to their training and experiences, are dedicated to enhancing Afro-Ecuadorian culture. One of the specific objectives that is the identification of the tangible and intangible assets of Afro -otech culture. When gathering information about cultural heritage, it will be very useful for tourists to know and enjoy the maximum representation of Afro-Churches culture. The purpose is to make a design of the tourist interpretation center, since this study has great acceptance of it.
