Abstract

The main objective is to provide a space that promotes the inclusion and comprehensive well-being of this population group, through the implementation of optimal location strategies, adequate equipment and universal accessibility standards. The center's design is based on the Streets for Life method, which advocates the creation of accessible and safe urban environments for all ages and abilities. This method is adapted to the local context to ensure that older adults can easily access the services and activities offered. Special attention is paid to the layout of the equipment, ensuring that all spaces are functional and comfortable, with specific areas for physical rehabilitation, recreational and social activities, and medical services. In addition, universal accessibility standards are incorporated, which include ramps, adequate signage, and ergonomic furniture, in order to eliminate architectural barriers and facilitate the safe and autonomous movement of users. The creation of an area suitable for older adults is considered essential to encourage their active participation in the community and improve their quality of life. The design of the center not only seeks to meet the physical needs of older adults, but also to offer an environment that favors their social, emotional and mental integration.
