| dc.description.abstract | San Miguel de Ibarra es una ciudad llena de dinamismo laboral y económico; que a lo largo del tiempo se ha ido expandiendo y creciendo rápidamente en forma horizontal y en sentido centro-sur; en la nueva zona de expansión el uso de suelo es residencial, lo cual genera una problemática para las familias que viven en el sector, siendo su principal necesidad las zonas donde puedan socializar y tener una recreación y salud integral. Sumado a esto la perdida de espacios públicos icónicos de la ciudad a limitado el dinamismo y turismo urbano local. Por lo cual, la regeneración espacial mediante un Centro acuático biofílico en las antiguas piscinas de Yuyucocha logra proyectar un espacio de vital importancia para el desarrollo de vida urbana, social, recreativa y de salud integral. Este espacio arquitectónico se plantea como un elemento sumergido y fragmentado entre la naturaleza, el cual es capaz de brindar recreo, salud, aprendizaje, socialización, turismo e identidad. Esto fundamentado en principios de arquitectura sostenible y biofílica. | |
| dc.description.abstract | San Miguel de Ibarra is a city brimming with labor and economic dynamism; over time, it has expanded and grown rapidly in a horizontal and south-central direction. In the new expansion area, the land use is residential, which creates a challenge for the families living in the sector, as their primary need is spaces where they can socialize and have comprehensive recreation and health. Furthermore, the loss of iconic public spaces in the city has constrained local urban dynamism and tourism. Therefore, spatial revitalization through a biophilic aquatic center in the former Yuyucocha pools manages to project a space of vital importance for the development of urban, social, recreational, and comprehensive health life. This architectural space is conceived as a submerged and fragmented element within nature, capable of providing recreation, health, learning, socialization, tourism, and identity. All of this is grounded in principles of sustainable and biophilic architecture. | en_US |
