Evaluación de la reproducción in vitro de la especie Tillandsia emergens mediante explantes con el fin del desarrollo de una metodología de multiplicación para la PUCESI

Abstract
La especie Tillandsia emergens Mez y Sodiro es una planta endémica del Ecuador
perteneciente a la familia de las bromelias. Esta especie actualmente se encuentra en estado
vulnerable debido a los desastres naturales (incendios forestales) y la acción antrópica del
hombre (tala indiscriminada) en el país; por esta razón se consideró realizar una propagación
in vitro para la conservación de esta especie. Por lo cual se realizó diferentes transectos que
determinaron cuál fue la incidencia de esta especie en 4 comunidades de la Parroquia de San
Roque, Provincia de Imbabura. Además, se desarrolló un protocolo de cultivo in vitro a partir
de hojas jóvenes, yemas y semillas; estos fueron sembrados en un medio de cultivo preparado
de Murashige y Skoog a su totalidad de concentración (4,3g.l-1), sacarosa (30g.l-1),
agar (10g.l-1), suplementados con antioxidantes ácido cítrico y ácido ascórbico (100mg.l-1),
además con hormonas reguladoras de crecimiento ANA y BAP (10 mg.l-1). Transcurrido los
90 días de la siembra in vitro se evalúo en cada uno de los tratamientos (hojas jóvenes, yemas
y semillas) la formación de brotes, la longitud y sobrevivencia del explante. Siendo el mejor
tratamiento el de las semillas en todas las variables, debido a que obtuvo los mejores
resultados en comparación con los demás explantes (yemas y hojas jóvenes).
The species Tillandsia emergens Mez y Sodiro is an endemic plant of Ecuador belonging to the family of bromeliads.
