Abstract
La alfarería ancestral emerge como un tesoro tangible y arraigado en el tiempo. En esta búsqueda por rescatar y preservar el legado de la alfarería tiene como objetivo revalorizar los utensilios de barro del museo Malta Huasi a través de la caracterización en fichas del INPC para preservar los conocimientos en torno a la alfarería ancestral de la comunidad La Rinconada, parroquia Angochagua. Este estudio adopta un enfoque mixto, de la misma manera esta indagación aporta con un tipo de investigación explicativa. Para recabar los datos cuantitativos se aplicaron 66 encuestas, con 8 preguntas cerradas hacia la población de Angochagua; por otro lado, los datos cualitativos se consiguieron a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas mediante 12 preguntas abiertas a 7 personas, 3 hombres alfareros tradicionales; 2 mujeres alfareras tradicionales; 1 funcionario público; y un geólogo funcionario del Geoparque Imbabura. Entre los principales resultados se determinó que los utensilios de barro, como el tiesto, plato sopero, cazuela y pondo pequeño, han sido prominentes en prácticas culinarias pasadas y presentes. Se concluye que la caracterización de los utensilios de barro del Museo Malta Huasi en fichas del INPC no solo contribuirá a la preservación de los conocimientos en torno a la alfarería ancestral, sino que también reafirma la relevancia y el significado cultural de esta práctica en la comunidad La Rinconada.
Ancestral pottery emerges as a tangible treasure rooted in time. In this search to rescue and preserve the legacy of pottery, the objective is to revalue the clay utensils of the Malta Huasi museum through the characterization in INPC cards to preserve the knowledge about the ancestral pottery of the Rinconada community, parish Angochagua. This study adopts a mixed approach, in the same way this investigation provides a type of explanatory research. To collect quantitative data, 66 surveys were applied, with 8 closed questions to the population of Angochagua; On the other hand, qualitative data was obtained through semi structured interviews using 12 open questions to 7 people, 3 traditional potter men; 2 traditional potter women; 1 public official; and an official geologist from the Imbabura Geopark. Among the main results, it was determined that clay utensils, such as the pot, soup plate, casserole and small pondo, have been prominent in past and present culinary practices. It is concluded that the characterization of the clay utensils of the Malta Huasi Museum in INPC files will not only contribute to the preservation of knowledge about ancestral pottery, but also reaffirms the relevance and cultural meaning of this practice in the community the Rinconada.
