Abstract
The objective of this research is to address problems on formal and informal trade, and the causes that leads to this social phenomenon affecting the proper functioning in the urban environment. To analyze the causes of this phenomenon, it is necessary to identify the number and types of formal merchants and informal workers that exist working in the historic center, thus understanding the magnitude of the problem and the impact that has when surrounding itself with ineffective public spaces, and deteriorating heritage buildings such as those in the center history of Ibarra. Next, the technical keys are schematically presented in which the habitual functioning of people in a commercial urban space will be taken into account, and methodologies will be executed that will change the order functional of these spaces in the interior and exterior of the blocks, and at the same time to formulate commercial strategies in the transition spaces that will frame the good vital performance of the commerce in a patrimonial zone. It will seek to order a macro problem where citizen experiences abroad will be taken into account. and the interior, of the block in the entire historic center of the city, in this way we will outline the challenges that the project abides. On the outside, commercial centers are managed, as well as informal merchants, passers-by, urban pedestrians, and quality public space where urban infrastructure is concerned. Inside The voids in the patios in the houses, also called apple hearts, are handled, the facades that are the face of the streets and that invite passers-by to interact, according to their status, as active and inactive functions, as well as the transition space, which is the space where trust is generated to convince the passer-by if they decide enter, as long as it is a quality and striking space, and finally the formal trade that is the people that generate trade in products in accordance with state laws and complying with municipal regulations. After a detailed analysis, urban-architectural intervention strategies will be proposed, where better trade equity would be planned, thus reflecting vital areas throughout the historic center, creating permeability between the interior and exterior space of the blocks, opening well employment opportunities in the hearts block, transformed into semi-public spaces, and with a future projection of finding places of formal merchant
