Abstract
El trabajo de titulación consiste en el diseño de un mercado minorista debido al incremento de la pro ducción agrícola y su comercialización demanda la implementación de un equipamiento de comercio adecuado para cubrir dicha necesidad de los habitantes. Este proyecto sé enmarca en la parroquia rural de González Suárez del cantón Otavalo. La finalidad del estudio es determinar y validar la propuesta de diseño para la construcción de un mer cado para la parroquia de González Suárez. Para lograr el objetivo, en primera instancia se realizó un análisis exploratorio del sector, la cual proporciono fuentes de datos principales y secundarios. Por medio de una investigación de carácter descriptivo y entrevista con informantes claves se puede llevar a cabo el proyecto. Tomando en cuenta que la composición volumétrica de las instalaciones de un mercado debe ser el resultado obtenido de la relación entre los espacios necesarios identificados en el programa arquitectó nico y el tipo de circulación que permite el diálogo entre ellos, se propone un mercado minorista que se implemente en el terreno sin competir con el paisaje, permitiendo que toda el área social y comercial tengan acceso al exterior con recorridos continuos desenvolviendo adecuadamente las actividades de los usuarios. En el siguiente trabajo de titulación se podrá observar el análisis de la problemática actual del creci miento agrícola y la solución que se propone para dar un mejoramiento al sector de la ciudad con la implementación de un mercado minorista.

Through descriptive research and an interview with key informants, the project can be carried out. Taking into account that the volumetric composition of the facilities of a market must be the result obtained from the relationship between the necessary spaces identified in the architectural program and the type of circulation that allows dialogue between them, a retail market is proposed that It is imple mented on the ground without competing with the landscape, allowing the entire social and commercial area to have access to the outside with continuous tours, adequately developing the activities of the users. In the following degree work, it will be possible to observe the analysis of the current problem of agri cultural growth and the solution that is proposed to give an improvement to the city sector with the implementation of a retail market.
