Abstract
El Bosque Protector Guayabillas es un atractivo natural de la ciudad de Ibarra con calificación de área protegida, cuya condición resulta favorable para desarrollar innumerables investigaciones, en particular todas aquellas que aporten elementos y estrategias para su conservación como es el caso de la presente investigación cuyo propósito es diseñar un plan de interpretación turística de los senderos del Bosque Protector Guayabilla. Para alcanzar este propósito, fue necesario determinar las preferencias de interpretación de sus visitantes y las condiciones actuales de los senderos y en base a esta información se definieron los lineamientos para la elaboración de medios interpretativos. Las bases teóricas se construyeron fundamentada en diversos autores destacando: Llorca, Gómez y Mansergas (2015), Morales (2008), Ham (2011). Domínguez (2017), Barbosa y Sáenz, G (2017), Ortega (2018) entre otros. En cuanto a metodología, este estudio se vincula con una investigación de tipo descriptiva, con un diseño de campo, método cuantitativo, deductivo. Se determinó una muestra de 364 visitantes, tomando como población, los visitantes del bosque. Se utilizaron encuestas para conocer el tipo de visitantes y sus preferencias interpretativas, también se utilizó la observación directa para recolectar información sobre las condiciones de los senderos, lo que permitió identificar en términos generales que el actual servicio interpretativo de los senderos del bosque protector guayabillas es deficiente, por tanto, es indispensable mejorarlo y para ello se requieren un plan, el cual se propone en éste estudio abarcando los siguientes aspectos: objetivos, recursos para la interpretación, destinatarios, mensajes, contenido de los recorridos, plan de acción, seguimiento y evaluación.
The Guayabillas protected forest is a natural attraction of the Ibarra city with a proper area qualification, whose condition is favorable to develop innumerable investigations, in particular all those that contribute with elements and strategies for its conservation as it is the case of the present investigation whose purpose is to design a tourist interpretation plan for Guayabilla Protected Forest trails. To achieve this purpose, it was necessary to determine the preferences in interpretation of the visitors and the current conditions of the trails. Based on this information the guidelines for the development of interpretive media were defined. The theoretical bases were built based on various authors highlighting: Llorca, Gomez and Mansergas (2015), Morales (2008), Ham (2011). Domínguez (2017), Barbosa and Sáenz (2017), Ortega (2018) among others. In terms of methodology, this study is linked to a descriptive research, with a field design, quantitative, deductive method. A sample of 364 visitors was determined, taking as a population, the visitors of the forest. Surveys showed the type of visitors and their interpretative preferences, direct observation was also used to collect information on the conditions of the trails, which allowed to identify in general terms that the current interpretive service of the trails of the Guayabillas protective forest is deficient, therefore, it is essential to improve it and for this, a plan is required, which is proposed in this study covering the following aspects: objectives, resources for interpretation, recipients, messages, content of the routes, plan of action, monitoring and evaluation.
