Abstract
Sistemas de automatización dirigidos para el ámbito bibliotecario se vuelven más necesarios a medida que los usuarios aumentan, debido a que las nuevas herramientas tecnológicas optimizan procesos repetitivos y ahorran tiempo además de crear fiabilidad al momento de manejar grandes cantidades de información, dando como resultado el aumento de eficiencia y calidad de servicios que presta el ámbito bibliotecario, una de estas herramientas es la gestión de activos no bibliográficos y reserva de espacios internos de una biblioteca. Es así que, el proyecto está enfocado en el manejo de salones y activos no bibliográficos de la biblioteca de la PUCESI mediante las nuevas tecnologías que permiten almacenar la información en la nube con el fin de ofrecer el fácil acceso a la información a todos los usuarios de la institución, ya sean estudiantes, docentes o encargado bibliotecario. Proyecto el cual se estructuró mediante la metodología Extreme Programming (XP), misma que apoyó el desarrollo del sistema, a través de historias de usuarios que permitieron el levante de requisitos de acuerdo a un nivel de prioridades. No obstante para el desarrollo o estructura del sistema web se hizo uso de herramientas Open Source debido a que facilita en gran medida el manejo y acceso a la información y simplemente olvidarse de realizar registros, reportes, préstamos o reservas de activos no bibliográficos de forma física y dejar que las nuevas tecnologías que se encuentran comunicadas con la nube entren a funcionar, logrando así optimizar procesos que causan pérdidas de tiempo además del mal gestionamiento que pueden tener los administradores bibliotecarios.
