Sistema web de información para la toma de decisiones y procesos de gestión del cuerpo de bomberos de Cotacachi

Abstract

El presente proyecto de investigación tiene lugar en el Cuerpo de Bomberos de Cotacachi, el mismo que es el encargado de coordinar y dar pronta respuesta ante situaciones de incendios e inundaciones, entre otro tipo de incidentes y catástrofes dentro del Cantón Cotacachi, contribuyendo de esa manera con el bienestar y tranquilidad general de toda la ciudadanía. En los últimos años, han trabajado de manera transversal e integral con todos los niveles de gobierno para garantizar una correcta atención de emergencias, pero no contaban con un sistema informático de apoyo para la correcta toma de decisiones y mitigación del riesgo generado ante catástrofes naturales o generadas por el hombre. Para tener claro el panorama y los procesos que llevan a cabo dentro de la institución, se realizaron varias entrevistas con el experto, en este caso, el jefe del Cuerpo de Bomberos de Cotacachi, el Capitán Giovanni Zamora, teniendo como resultado información sobre los objetivos, políticas de uso, tipos de usuarios, validaciones, entre otras consideraciones. Con la ayuda del sistema, el personal del Cuerpo de Bomberos de Cotacachi, puede registrar las actividades que realizan diariamente, tener respaldados con fotografías, geolocalización, y ver las estadísticas de todas las emergencias en las que han prestado sus servicios, ya que tradicionalmente esta actividad era realizada y archivada en papel, con esto pueden tener fácil acceso a la información en cualquier lugar en donde se encuentren. This research project takes place in the Cotacachi Fire Department, which is in charge of coordinating and responding quickly to accidents and catastrophes within the Cotacachi Canton, thus contributing to the general well-being and tranquility of all citizens. In recent years, they have worked transversally and comprehensively with all levels of government to guarantee proper emergency care, but they do not have a computerized support system for correct decision-making and disaster prevention. To be clear about the panorama and the processes carried out within the institution, several interviews were conducted with the expert, in this case, the head of the Cotacachi Fire Department, Mr. Captain Giovanni Zamora, resulting in information on the objectives, policies of use, types of users, validations, among other considerations. With the help of the system, the Cotacachi Fire Department personnel will be able to record the activities they carry out daily, have them backed up with photographs, geolocation, and view the statistics of all the emergencies in which they have provided their services, since traditionally this activity is carried out on paper and archived, they will be able to have easy access to the information wherever they are.
