Abstract
La valoración geriátrica integral es una herramienta que nos permite evaluar el estado de salud de los adultos mayores aplicando escalas que nos bridan datos sobre el nivel de deterioro del envejecimiento en la esfera clínica, funcional, cognitiva, social y afectiva del adulto mayor. Objetivo General: Describir el estado de salud de las personas adultas mayores a través de la medición delas cinco esferas de valoración geriátrica integral en la Parroquia Natabuela, Antonio Ante Metodología: El presente estudio posee un enfoque cuantitativo de tipo descriptivo y de campo, con un diseño no experimental, aplicando las escalas de valoración clínica, escala de funcionalidad de incapacidad de la Cruz Roja y SARCO-GS, la escala de valoración cognitiva KIKA-Cog, escala de valoración sociofamiliar Gijón y la escala de valoración afectiva Yesavage mediante el empleo de la entrevista como técnica de recolección de datos y el manejo de la estadística descriptiva como la técnica de análisis e interpretación de datos. Resultados: Los resultados obtenidos mediante el uso de las escalas de valoración a los 40 adultos mayores nos presentan que el rango de edad predominante es entre los 65 – 74 años con el 80%(32) mujeres y el 20% (8) hombres, se reflejan en los resultados que más del 75% de los adultos mayores presentan una incapacidad y un 85% presenta sarcopenia, un 45% presenta indicios de posible demencia, el 75% indica un riesgo social y 15% tienen un problema social y se puede evidenciar que existe un porcentaje alto con un 73% sin depresión y 28% posible depresión en la población adulta mayor de la parroquia Natabuela.
The comprehensive geriatric assessment is a tool that allows us to evaluate the health status of older adults by applying scales that provide data on the level of deterioration of aging in the clinical, functional, cognitive, social and affective spheres of the older adult. General Objective: To describe the state of health of older adults through the measurement of the five spheres of integral geriatric assessment in the Natabuela Parish, Antonio Ante Methodology: The present study has a quantitative descriptive and field approach, with a non-experimental design, applying the clinical assessment scales, the Red Cross disability functionality scale and SARCO-GS, the KIKA-Cog cognitive assessment scale, the Gijón social and family assessment scale and the Yesavage affective assessment scale, using the interview as a data collection technique and the use of descriptive statistics as a technique for data analysis and interpretation. Results: The results obtained through the use of the assessment scales to the 40 older adults show us that the predominant age range is between 65 - 74 years with 80%(32) women and 20% (8) men, it is reflected in the results that more than 75% of older adults present a disability and 85% present sarcopenia, 45% present signs of possible dementia, 75% indicate a social risk and 15% have a social problem and it is evident that there is a high percentage of 73% without depression and 28% possible depression in the older adult population of the parish of Natabuela.
