Abstract
Este proyecto se presenta como una aplicación que utiliza los avances tecnológicos dentro
del Laboratorio Clínico El Ángel. Se sabe que, en la actualidad, las tecnologías que apoyan
el área de la automatización en el ámbito médico, se encuentran muy avanzadas. En el
laboratorio El Ángel algunos de sus procesos se están realizando de una manera empírica.
El proyecto comenzó con una investigación minuciosa de los diferentes sistemas
informáticos para la automatización de laboratorios que existen en el mercado, con el objeto
de obtener una idea clara de su estructura y manejo en la gestión de laboratorios, para luego
proceder a la automatización de algunos procesos como son: historias clínicas, inventario de
control de existencias médicas, reservación de citas médicas y visualización de resultados
clínicos.
El sistema fue desarrollado utilizando el framework Laravel, el cual implementa una
arquitectura MVC (Modelo-Vista-Controlador). Este framework permite crear sistemas
robustos y escalables, brindando un gran beneficio, ya que en un futuro se podrá extender
agregando nuevas funcionalidades al sistema.
Este proyecto tiene como fin, lograr una reducción de tiempo en los procedimientos que en
la actualidad se realizan manualmente, y también una mejor administración tanto dentro
como fuera del laboratorio clínico, para que los clientes obtengan un mejor servicio y se
sientan en confianza.
Por otro lado, se logró beneficiar al médico laboratorista, ya que éste tendrá acceso a la
información de una manera rápida y segura.
Finalmente, para llevar a cabo una buena gestión del proyecto, el desarrollo del sistema se
hará siguiendo una metodología ágil, específicamente la metodología conocida como XP (de
sus siglas en inglés eXtreme Programming) para lograr un desarrollo por iteraciones y
fomentar la comunicación con el cliente.
This project is presented as an application that uses technological advances within the Clinical Laboratory El Ángel. It is known that, at present, the technologies that support the area of automation in the medical field are very advanced. In the laboratory El Ángel some of its processes are being carried out in an empirical way. The project began with a thorough investigation of the different computer systems for laboratory automation that exist in the market, in order to obtain a clear idea of their structure and handling in laboratory management, and then proceed to the automation of some processes such as: medical records, medical stock control inventory, medical appointments reservation and visualization of clinical results. The system was developed using the Laravel framework, which implements a MVC (ModelView-Controller) architecture. This framework allows the creation of robust and scalable systems, providing a great benefit, since in the future it can be extended by adding new functionalities to the system. This project aims to achieve a reduction of time in the procedures that are currently performed manually, and also a better management both inside and outside the clinical laboratory, so that customers get a better service and feel confident. On the other hand, the laboratory physician will benefit, since he/she will have access to the information in a fast and safe way. Finally, to carry out a good project management, the development of the system will be done following an agile methodology, specifically the methodology known as XP (eXtreme Programming) to achieve a development by iterations and promote communication with the client.
