Abstract
El presente trabajo de titulación se enmarca en el cantón de Otavalo provincia de Imbabura,
dentro de los limites urbanos de la ciudad, en el sector San juan y Nuevo mercado municipal 24
de mayo. La investigación se da en un entorno que ha sufrido un cambio de uso de suelo por la
implementación de un nuevo equipamiento de diferente categoría y analizando desde el cambio
de uso de suelo y habitabilidad del espacio público, para poder entender el porcentaje de
consolidación espacial y espacio dedicados a áreas verdes para así llegar a analizar los vacíos
urbanos como el más predominante el de las antiguas piscinas de Yanayacu, este se caracteriza
por ser un espacio que ha sido descuidado, que tiene mucho potencial por su ubicación
centralizada, y por la cercanía a equipamientos presentes en la zona de estudio.
En el siguiente trabajo de titulación se podrá observar el análisis de la problemática actual en el
sector del Nuevo Mercado Municipal 24 de mayo y del Barrio San Juan, además de abordar la
solución que se propone para dar un mejoramiento a un sector de la ciudad con la
implementación de un equipamiento recreativo-deportivo, un sistema parques de bolsillo y un
circuito de integración para los elementos propuestos.
Y generar una propuesta arquitectónica que esté de acuerdo con las necesidades de los habitantes
con un proyecto integrador de los espacios deportivos y espacios públicos además de promover
la apropiación conjunto con potenciar la habitabilidad de los mismo.
The present work of titling is framed in the canton of Otavalo, province of Imbabura, within the urban limits of the city, in the San Juan sector and the new municipal market May 24. The research takes place in an environment that has undergone a change of land use by the implementation of a new equipment of different category and analyzing from the change of land use and habitability of public space, in order to understand the percentage of spatial consolidation and space dedicated to green areas in order to analyze the urban gaps as the most predominant of the old Yanayacu pools, this is characterized as a space that has been neglected, which has great potential for its centralized location, and the proximity to equipment present in the study area. In the following degree work, the analysis of the current problems in the sector of the New Municipal Market May 24 and Barrio San Juan will be observed, in addition to addressing the proposed solution to improve a sector of the city with the implementation of a recreational-sports equipment, a pocket park system and an integration circuit for the proposed elements. And to generate an architectural proposal that is in agreement with the needs of the inhabitants with an integrating project of the sports spaces and public spaces in addition to promoting the appropriation together with enhancing the habitability of the same.
