Abstract
Este proyecto aborda el desarrollo de un sistema de comercio electrónico para la empresa Papelyt, con el fin de solucionar la ineficiencia en la gestión de inventarios, facturación y procesamiento de pagos. El objetivo principal es mejorar la eficiencia operativa de la empresa y la experiencia de compra de los clientes mediante la integración de herramientas clave como la gestión de inventarios en tiempo real, facturación electrónica, y pagos seguros a través de la plataforma PayPal. La metodología ágil eXtreme Programming (XP) fue empleada para garantizar una colaboración constante con el cliente y una entrega continua de funcionalidades. A lo largo del desarrollo, se identificaron y documentaron los requisitos del sistema, seguido por un diseño detallado basado en la plataforma de código abierto Odoo, que permitió la implementación y pruebas exhaustivas de las funcionalidades. Entre los resultados más destacados, se logró automatizar y optimizar los procesos internos de Papelyt, reduciendo el tiempo y los errores en la gestión de inventarios y pedidos, lo cual contribuyó a una mejora significativa en la satisfacción del cliente. Asimismo, la integración de PayPal brindó seguridad y confiabilidad en las transacciones, fortaleciendo la confianza de los clientes en el sistema.
This project focuses on the development of an e-commerce system for the company Papelyt, aimed at solving inefficiencies in inventory management, billing, and payment processing. The main objective is to improve the company’s operational efficiency and enhance the customer shopping experience by integrating key tools such as real-time inventory management, electronic invoicing, and secure payments through the PayPal platform. The agile methodology eXtreme Programming (XP) was used to ensure constant collaboration with the client and continuous delivery of features. Throughout the development process, system requirements were identified and documented, followed by a detailed design based on the open-source platform Odoo, which enabled the implementation and thorough testing of the features. Among the most notable results, the internal processes of Papelyt were automated and optimized, reducing time and errors in inventory and order management, which significantly contributed to improving customer satisfaction. Additionally, the integration of PayPal provided security and reliability in transactions, strengthening customers' trust in the system.
