Abstract
El informe del Trabajo Final de Titulación de “LA CARRERA DE DERECHO EN EL ECUADOR Y SU PERTINENCIA, CASO: PROVINCIA DE IMBABURA EN EL PERIODO 2022-2023” de manera particular se analiza a la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador; se plantea el análisis de la continuidad de la carrera de derecho, como lo establece la Constitución del Ecuador, leyes y reglamentos nacionales. La investigación está direccionada en el enfoque mixto (cualitativo y cuantitativo) y fue desarrollada mediante el método socio-jurídico;, se indagó la normativa nacional en lo referente a acreditación y pertinencia de la carrera de derecho, para profundizar en la investigación se realizaron encuestas a personas profesionales de la rama para obtener su opinión, y en contraste, además de entrevistas a expertos docentes en el área los parámetros investigados parten de los lineamientos del CACES Incluye el entorno de aprendizaje de la carrera de derecho ( Pertinencia, Estado actual y prospectiva, Seguimiento a graduados). Se concluye; que al igual que mayoría de las IES que ofertan la carrera en la Provincia y a nivel nacional la PUCE Ibarra, concentra su programación académica en áreas de Derecho Civil, Penal, Constitucional, Administrativo, Laboral y Tributario, asignaturas que se constituyen el común denominador en todas las instituciones de educación superior que ofertan Derecho; que si bien es pertinente que se oferte la carrera de derecho en las universidades de la provincia de Imbabura, caso particular de la PUCE Ibarra, esta debe fortalecer en las tendencias actuales y particularidades de la provincia incorporando en su plan educativo el derecho migratorio, derecho de competencia, derecho empresarial, justicia con enfoque de género e interculturalidad.
