Abstract
Desde el inicio de los tiempos se ha generado constantemente diversos problemas de carácter social, mismos que han dado apertura para combatir irregularidades, tal es el caso de la Violencia Política de Género contra las mujeres en los GADS de la provincia de Imbabura. Tomando en cuenta esta problemática es que se buscó analizar la violencia política de género en su discriminación laboral y vulneración de derechos hacia la mujer, mediante el estudio cualitativo y el análisis de la participación de la misma dentro de las entidades del sector público GADS de la Provincia de Imbabura, con el propósito de determinar si existe violencia política acoso y vulneración de derechos, así como también verificar si se cumple con las normativas establecidas y el respeto de los derechos que poseen las mujeres políticas por su rol político y de género. La investigación se apoyó de la técnica de revisión y análisis documental, que facilitó conocer e identificar aquellos tratados, convenios internacionales como también la normativa ecuatoriana que trata sobre la prohibición de la violencia, discriminación, acoso, el respeto y la importante aplicación del principio de igualdad, todo ello con el fin de buscar la erradicación y prevención de dichos problemas que afectan los derechos propios de las mujeres para llegar a una paridad. Así también, con el estudio de varias investigaciones se ha visto cómo una mujer tiene menos oportunidades de acceder a un rol político en el sector público porque se cree que la misma no está en la capacidad para cumplir ciertas funciones laborales o simplemente se han antepuesto perjuicios de género negándole la oportunidad de desarrollar su rol laboral. Además, se realizó la aplicación de entrevistas de tipo estructurada dirigidas a aquellas personas que se encuentran relacionadas con el tema de estudio como ha víctimas de violencia política y a profesionales conocedores del Derecho. De esta manera se ha llegado a la conclusión de que la Violencia política y discriminación de género hacia la mujer dentro de las entidades del sector público si existen pese a la existencia de normas que prohíben la aplicación de este tipo de acciones que vulneran el derecho de las mujeres.
Since the beginning of time, various problems of a social nature have been constantly generated, which have opened up to combat irregularities, such as the discrimination received by women politicians within the public workplace, who have been more likely to be discriminated against for aspects related to gender. Taking into account this problem, it was sought to analyze gender-based political violence in its labor discrimination and violation of rights towards women, through the qualitative study and analysis of its participation within the GADS public sector entities of the Province of Imbabura, with the purpose of determining whether there is political violence, harassment and violation of rights, as well as verifying compliance with established regulations and respect for the rights of women politicians due to their political and gender role. At the same time, the research was supported by the technique of review and documentary analysis, which facilitated knowing and identifying those treaties, international conventions as well as Ecuadorian regulations that deal with the prohibition of violence, discrimination, harassment, respect and the important application of the principle of equality, all in order to seek the eradication and prevention of these problems that affect the rights of women to reach a parity. Likewise, with the study of several investigations it has been seen how a woman has fewer opportunities to access a political role in the public sector because it is believed that she is not able to fulfill certain job functions or gender prejudices have simply been placed by denying her the opportunity to develop her work role. In addition, structured interviews were conducted aimed at those people who are related to the subject of study as victims of political violence and professionals knowledgeable about the Law. In this way, it has been concluded that political violence and gender discrimination against women within public sector entities do exist despite the existence of regulations that prohibit the application of this type of actions that violate women's rights.
