Item Open Access Participación de la comunidad indígena Kayambi en los medios de comunicación del cantón Cayambe(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador Sede Ibarra, 2018-10) Cevallos Molina, Johanna FernandaThis study shows an analys is of the last decade, about the participation of the indigenous community in the process of communication existing in Cayambe, focusing the specific interest on Ecos Radio of Cayambe. The general objective of this study is identify the participation of the indigenous community for the awareness of Kayambi's culture by a mixed design of qualitative and quantitative investigation in the radial medium of Cayambe. The principal method is the analysis, althought the chosen of the population and sample, and correspondent tools. The interest for the actually topic arise from the root that the radio station constitutes nowadays in one of the most important opcions in broadcasting to promote the development of the activities of Kayambi's culture, but the administration of it self offers a limited space, really null, to the assessment of the refered culture. That's why, it applies the theorical revision of previously investigations about the popular communication, educational communication, popular radio, alternative broadcasting, about the indigenous culture with special interest on the chosen one for the studying. Stand out the characteristics of Kayambi's culture, their values, sistems of organization and other own traits. Also it shows a synthesis of the broadcasting, and the radiophonic genres, with that expose the connection of the study variables. With the defined theoric elements, develops the description of the material and methods, and it last application that generates the results and discussion.
