Abstract
La investigación comprende una propuesta gráfica sobre las costumbres y tradiciones de un barrio tradicional de la ciudad de Ibarra, en la provincia de Imbabura, Ecuador, orientada a poner en valor la identidad histórico cultural del mismo (barrio Av. Carchi), a través de una propuesta de diseño de comunicación visual, permitiendo establecer el sentido de pertenencia a los vecinos de la comunidad ibarreña en general y a sus propios habitantes en particular, fomentando el proceso de apropiación identitaria de sus ciudadanos.
The research includes a graphic proposal on the customs and traditions of a traditional neighborhood of the city of Ibarra, in the province of Imbabura, Ecuador, aimed at valued the cultural historical identity of the same (Av. Carchi neighborhood), through a proposal of design of visual communication, allowing to establish the sense of belonging to the neighbors of the Ibarreña community in general and its own inhabitants in particular , encouraging the process of identity appropriation of its citizens.
