Respecto de esta situación se ha analizado en el estado del arte la normativa, doctrina y jurisprudencia relevante, tomando en cuenta que las PPL constantemente se enfrentan a situaciones que atentan contra sus derechos. La importancia de la investigación radica en que mediante este se determinará la situación de las PPL en el Centro de privación de Libertad. El trabajo investigativo tuvo como objetivo general analizar la eficacia de la acción de hábeas corpus para la protección del derecho a la integridad física de las PPL en la cárcel de Ibarra, mediante un análisis de casos reales presentados en el periodo 2021-2022 en el cantón Ibarra, a fin de plantear recomendaciones que ayuden a prevenir futuras vulneraciones del derecho a la integridad física. Para ello desde un enfoque cualitativo se aplicaron los métodos; socio jurídico y analítico sintético, mediante el uso de las técnicas de revisión y análisis documental, fichas resumen de casos y entrevistas. Entre las conclusiones obtenidas se tiene que el hábeas corpus es un mecanismo idóneo para tutelar el derecho a la libertad y conexos. En el caso de las PPL también protege su derecho a la integridad. Del análisis casuístico se concluye que esta garantía jurisdiccional no resulta ser eficaz para el cumplimiento de su objeto respecto de la protección al derecho a la integridad física puesto que al no lograr cumplirse las medidas de reparación integral en su totalidad no se cumple con la finalidad principal del hábeas corpus correctivo.The research entitled "Hábeas Corpus and the right to the protection of the physical integrity of persons deprived of liberty in the prison of Ibarra, period 2021-2022", which addressed the habeas corpus actions filed by persons deprived of liberty (PPL) in the canton of Ibarra who claimed to have been victims of violations of the right to physical integrity in the Center of Deprivation of Liberty in the city of Ibarra. Regarding this situation, the state of the art has been analyzed in the relevant regulations, doctrine and jurisprudence, taking into account that the PPL constantly face situations that threaten their rights. The general objective of the research work was to analyze the effectiveness of the habeas corpus action for the protection of the right to physical integrity of the PPL in the Ibarra prison, through an analysis of real cases presented in the period 2021-2022 in the Ibarra canton, in order to make recommendations to help prevent future violations of the right to physical integrity. For this purpose, from a qualitative approach, the socio-legal and synthetic analytical methods were applied, through the use of documentary review and analysis techniques, case summary sheets and interviews. Among the conclusions obtained is that habeas corpus is a suitable mechanism to protect the right to liberty and related rights. In the case of ppl, it also protects their right to integrity.
