Hidalgo Mina, Antonella2023-12-052023-12-052020-05-18https://repositorio.puce.edu.ec/handle/123456789/37858Tesis previa obtención del título de Licenciado/a en Lingüística Aplicada mención InglésTo determine how the use of didactic strategies facilitate the learning of a foreign language in fourth level students of basic general education of “Sagrado Corazon” school in Esmeraldas, a descriptive-qualitative investigation was carried out by using the analysis and synthesis methods and the hermeneutic and statistical methods; besides some techniques such as observation and survey that were applied to a group of 35 students who were chosen randomly and eight English teachers. Having analyzed the results that were given at the time of applying the different surveys and observation sheets, it was observed that teachers have more attention from the students when they apply didactic strategies. In the same way, it was revealed that students have greater participation and assimilation of topics when teachers use a variety of teaching strategies, being the most preferred by students those in which they can participate in groups. It was also possible to conclude that students of this level develop their learning through learning by doing and learning by reading, in a greater proportion than the other teaching-learning didactic strategies, since they were more adapted at the time when their teachers presented them the different activities in class and how to solve them was more effective.
