Mera Aguas, Moraima CristinaGuerra Padilla, Mayerly Lizeth08/04/202408/04/20242022https://repositorio.puce.edu.ec/handle/123456789/42679Actualmente, la expansión de la frontera agrícola y ganadera ha sido un factor preponderante en la problemática de la pérdida de bosque nativo, paisaje forestal, fauna y páramo en la comunidad de Yuracruz sector el Pantanal, razón por la cual se ha visto afectado el recurso hídrico que abastece a los pobladores de la comunidad de Yuracruz, perturbando los procesos de regulación de aguas superficiales y subsuelo como intercepción, infiltración y evotranspiración. El principal objetivo de la investigación fue realizar un estudio preliminar, mismo que serviría para la correcta conservación del recurso hídrico. El presente trabajo consistió en la delimitación del polígono de la zona a declarar Área de Protección Hídrica, mediante el sistema informático ArcGis, cartas topográficas obtenidas del geoportal Ecuador y las coordenadas de la fuente y captación. Los resultados de la delimitación de la zona correspondieron a un área de 112,47 hectáreas, que engloba a gran parte del páramo y dentro de los cuales se encuentran nueve beneficiarios directos que se favorecen de la fuente “Humedales (Piñuelas)”. Además, se realizó la caracterización de los dos puntos de muestreo mediante un Índice de Calidad de Agua (ICA), en donde se pudo determinar que en el origen de la fuente “Humedales (Piñuelas)”, como en el sitio de la captación para consumo, se encuentra agua de calidad media, con menor probabilidad de vida acuática.
