| dc.description.abstract | Este trabajo de titulación se enfoca en el barrio El Batán en el occidente del cantón Otavalo, provincia de Imbabura, donde se investigan las diferentes problemáticas presentes en la zona y su relación con el espacio arquitectónico y urbano construido. Se llevaron a cabo distintas metodologías de análisis con un enfoque exploratorio y un diseño no experimental transversal para determinar con precisión las variables de las patologías existentes. La investigación se divide en cinco fases, que incluyen la contextualización del área y el marco teórico, el análisis y diagnóstico del barrio, el reconocimiento de casos similares, y la propuesta a nivel de anteproyecto. Como resultado del estudio, se plantea una propuesta de rehabilitación urbana para el barrio que aborde los problemas de seguridad, movilidad y deterioro de la imagen urbana a través del diseño urbano. Además, se complementa con un proyecto arquitectónico patrimonial que tenga en cuenta temas sociales e identidad cultural y ayude a recuperar el valor intangible del barrio tradicional que ha estado perdiéndose con el tiempo. | |
| dc.description.abstract | This degree work focuses on the neighborhood El Batán in the west of Otavalo canton, province of Imbabura, where the different problems present in the area and their relationship with the architectural and urban built space are investigated. Different analysis methodologies were carried out with an exploratory approach and a transversal non-experimental design to accurately determine the variables of the existing pathologies. The research is divided into five phases, which include the contextualization of the area and the theoretical framework, the analysis and diagnosis of the neighborhood, the recognition of similar cases, and the proposal at the pre-project level. As a result of the study, an urban rehabilitation proposal is pro posed for the neighborhood that addresses the problems of safety, mobility and deterioration of the urban image through urban design. In addition, it is complemented with an architectural heritage project that takes into account social issues and cultural identity and helps to recover the intangible value of the traditional neighborhood that has been lost over time. | en_US |
