| dc.description.abstract | Las características sociodemográficas son aspectos que permiten analizar detalladamente las condiciones del adulto mayor, por ello el objetivo de esta investigación es describir las características sociodemográficas de la población adulta mayor, en el Centro Gerontológico León Rúales del Cantón Ibarra en el periodo octubre 2024- febrero 2025. La investigación es bajo una metodología de tipo descriptiva, que permite detallar las características sociodemográficas actuales propias del adulto mayor, en base a recopilación de información valiosa que permite mostrarlas en su contexto actual. El enfoque es cuantitativo no experimental; la técnica de investigación utilizada fue la revisión y análisis documental. En cuanto al instrumento de investigación, se empleó la matriz digital de contenido. Esta herramienta se diseñó para organizar y estructurar la información extraída de los expedientes clínicos de los adultos mayores residentes en el Centro Gerontológico León Rúales del Cantón Ibarra. La obtención de resultados con el uso de las historias clínicas que fueron un instrumento de total ayuda brindadas por el Centro Gerontológico León Rúales ayudó a obtener las características sociodemográficas de los adultos mayores residentes en el centro. La presentación de resultados se da a través de la tabulación de datos obtenidos de la base del Centro investigado, que da lugar a una información precisa con el fin de que sirva de base para investigaciones futuras, y que, de ser el caso, permita crear planes de acción para mejor la calidad de vida del adulto mayor. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The sociodemographic characteristics of the older adult are aspects that allow a detailed analysis of the conditions of the older adult, therefore the objective of this research is to describe the sociodemographic characteristics of the older adult population, in the León Rúales Gerontological Center of the Ibarra Canton in the period October 2024 - February 2025. The research uses a descriptive methodology, which allows detailing the current sociodemographic characteristics of the elderly, based on the collection of valuable information that allows them to be shown in their current context. The approach is mixed, not experimental; The research technique used was documentary review and analysis. Regarding the research instrument, the digital content matrix was used. This tool was designed to organize and structure the information extracted from the clinical records of older adults residing at the León Rúales Gerontological Center of the Ibarra Canton. The presentation of results occurs through the tabulation of data obtained from the base of the investigated Center, which gives rise to precise information in order to serve as a basis for future research, and which, if applicable, allows creating action plans to improve the quality of life of the elderly. | en_US |
