Using ray tracing and based on a set of realistic simulations performed in MATLAB ® and Open Street Maps, this document relates the coverage problem in urban 5G wireless networks with other relevant propagation and signal blockage stochastic models. From a statistical analysis of these results, the main characteristics of shadow fading are extracted and compared. In addition, a review of the current IMT-2020 and 3GPP standards on radio propagation for 5G has been carried out.
