dc.description.abstractLa demencia tipo Alzheimer (DTA) produce múltiples alteraciones cognitivas como la afectación de la memoria o las funciones ejecutivas (FE). Uno de los componentes ejecutivos que están afectados en la DTA es la Capacidad de Planificación (CP). En esta investigación se analizaron 50 pacientes con DTA que cumplían con los criterios diagnósticos establecidos en el DSM-IV-TR y el NINCDS-ADRDA y 60 Sujetos sin deterioro Cognitivo (SSDC) con características sociodemográficas similares. Los resultados muestran que la CP está más afectada en pacientes con DTA en comparación con los SSDC, manifestándose dicha relación incluso entre los diferentes grados de severidad de la DTA, de forma que los pacientes con DTA moderadamente grave obtienen rendimientos inferiores que los SSDC. Estos hallazgos confirman la hipótesis general de que a mayor grado de severidad mayor afectación de la CP.
dc.description.abstractAlzheimer's dementia (AD) produces multiple cognitive impairments such as impairment of memory or executive functions (EF). One of the executive components that are affected in the DTA is the Planning Capacity (PC). In this study, 50 patients with AD who met the diagnostic criteria established in the DSM-IV-TR and the NINCDS-ADRDA and 60 Subjects without Cognitive Impairment (WCI) with similar sociodemographic characteristics were analyzed. The results show that PC is more affected in patients with AD compared to WCI, and this relationship is even found among different degrees of severity of AD, so that patients with moderately severe AD obtain lower yields than WCI. These findings confirm the general hypothesis that the higher the degree of severity, the greater the involvement of PC.en_US
